Let's hope that soon this dress represents a mosaic of rainbow flags », declared the trans model who hopes that it means more than just a dress and serves to take action. The ultimate goal would be for all the different flags to come together to form just one: the rainbow. The dress was created with the help of the local organization LGBT group COC Nederland who gathered the flags to transform them after the march of the Pride Festival of Amsterdam.

GAYLES.TV.- About two o'clock on Friday morning, two young people of 22 and 24 years suffered a homophobic aggression when they went to one of the gais celebrations that are celebrated on the occasion of the Circuit Festival 2016.

The events took place precisely in the week when the CIrcuit Festival was held in Barcelona, attracting tens of thousands of LGTBI tourists of all nationalities to Barcelona with the economic repercussions that this entails.

We hope that they can be detained and that they be held accountable for their actions. And then it would be nice if someone taught them to hunt Pokemons to see if they left the staff alone.

But the news in this case is that, advancing to any kind of legislation or regulation, a trentena of big companies with names as well known as Sony, IBM or Panasonic, have reached an agreement to recognize same-sex unions in their by-laws and to equate their employment rights with the heterosexual members of their staff. The measure contemplates affect the LGTBI collective as it contemplates improvements such as the possibility of obtaining permits for the intervention of sex change, request the sick leave of the spouse and the modification of internal statutes that regulate the use of sanitary facilities in companies or dress codes.

The agreement supposes a revolutionary action that does nothing but reflect the best of the globalization of the world in which we live. In the words of Panasonic spokeswoman Yayoi Watanabe: "We are a global company and we have already had cases like this in the US and in Europe, where homosexual employees are treated without discrimination".

A set of initiatives that, added to the decision of some Japanese local administrations like those of Shibuya or Setagaya in Tokyo to issue certificates of civil union between homosexuals, marks a tendency of change in Japanese society.

The group "One Million Moms" has launched a protest campaign against the Nickelodeon channel requesting that the controversial sequence be withdrawn. The "people of two spirits"

EDITORIAL GAYLES.TV.- In Europe we have hardly heard of "People of two spirits", but in America it constitutes a whole movement of struggle. "Two spirits" It vindicates the authentic cultural and social history of the Indian tribes regarding the issue of gender before its ideology was laminated by the Catholic faith imposed by the colonizers.

And it is that the Native Americans ignored any kind of rules of gender conduct that had to be fulfilled to be accepted as a "normal" member of the tribe. In fact, the children were not assigned gender roles at birth and their clothes tended to be neutral, what today we would know as "unisex". Beyond the supposed masculinity or femininity, people were valued for their contribution to the tribe. They had no previous ideas about how someone should love, it was simply understood as a natural act that arose without any kind of prosecution.

Contrary to the marginalization with which the West isolates the difference, in the pre-Columbian America the people of "two spirits" were venerated because it was understood that someone who gathered in their person masculine and feminine characteristics, was able to understand both sides of everything, to see the world with the eyes of both spirits and that was a gift from the Creator.

According to a study on the page "Indian Country Today", tribes like the Navajo, Cheyenne or Cherokee recognized, with nuances in the denomination, roles as woman, man, woman of two spirits, man of two spirits and transgender. The Navajo speak of "Nádleehí" which means "one that was transformed", in the Lakota environment it is mentioned "Winkté" in reference to men who behave like women and the Cheyenne named as "Hemaneh" who are "half man, half woman".

Drag Queens vintage

10 Drag Queens images with a lot of history

We started in the month of May the series of LGTBI vintage photographs with the publication of the article "Vintage Lesbians", a careful selection of old photos of lesbian couples that surprised by the brazenness with which they showed their love to the camera, for its freshness and spontaneity. Last June, we expanded the proposal with the publication of "Vintage Gais", with anonymous photographs but also of characters as well known as Walt Whitman and Peter Doyle or the legendary image of Oscar Wild with his lover Sir Alfred Douglas.

Today we want to close the circle with another series of 10 images that have surprised us even more if possible, since it is about what we would call today Drag Queens, transvestites and transvestites who were normally part of the world of entertainment and posed for eternity dressed in women's clothing in unparalleled images that in some cases are more than a century and a half old.

As in previous compilations, the authorship of most of the images is anonymous or their rights have expired and we can find them in the Vikipedia Commons funds or in collections that are mentioned in all cases.

Images and experiences that remind others not so distant and sometimes we do not even know despite being very close.

It is paradoxical that we are scandalized by these events while we remain silent to the conditions of absolute precariousness and desolation, to the extortion, blackmail and sexual abuse suffered by those who leave their lives knocking on the doors of a Europe that, too old to remember your own story, you risk having to relive it.

EDITORIAL GAYLES.TV.- "Orlando furious" is an epic poem written by Ludovico Ariosto in the 1532 that gave rise to the opera of the same name Vivaldi. Vintage gals

All the details in this 1880 image are overwhelmingly elegant, the gloved hands on the heart of the lover, the white handle of the cane and the hats resting one on another. Lucky to have the Vikipedia Commons studio portrait fund.

The protagonists of this image could well be our grandparents, but the discreet touch of the tips of their fingers and their glances give them away. It also comes from Vikipedia Common and is dated around 1890.

Transsexuality in animals

II European Rainbow Cities Congress

GAYLES.TV.- This weekend, coinciding with the celebration of International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, the second congress has been convened in Barcelona European Rainbow Cities that has gathered in the emblematic Casa MilaPopularly known as La Pedrera to a score of European experts to discuss policies for sexual and gender diversity.

The organization has been run by the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia with collaboration from the Barcelona City Council, the Diputación de Barcelona and the Department of Labor, Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The Congress is a space for meeting, debate and exchange of experiences and knowledge in the context of public and local equality policies against LGTBIphobia, especially those that unfold in non-metropolitan environments. This year's presentations have focused on two main themes: the situation of LGTBI people in rural settings and issues affecting the transgender community.

At the opening of the Congress, the rector of the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, Jordi Mountain, has valued the importance of combining research and knowledge transfer to advance understanding, acceptance and respect of sexual and gender diversity. Even so, he added that, "although the full social normalization of the trans perspectives is still a complex project, the bases are becoming very solid".

Laura Pérez, Councilor of the Life Cycle, Feminisms and LGTBI of the City Council of Barcelona, remarked that "cities can be spearheads and the ideal space for the deployment of committed public policies that confront the different forms of discrimination". Mireia Mata, general director of Equality of the Department of Labor, Welfare and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya, has emphasized the Law 11 / 2014 that has been defined as "a law of all citizens: everyone is a beneficiary". GAYLES.TV.- Since 1990 each May 17 Is celebrated the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia commemorating that that year the World Health Organization eliminated homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses. "Queen Cristina, the woman who was king"
