Between the 30 of August and the 6 of September, the seventh edition of the ELLA festival will be held in Palma
GAYLES.TV.- With this edition, 7 will be the ones celebrating the ELLA FESTIVAL in Palma de Mallorca. An event specifically aimed at the LBT community, that is, lesbians, bisexuals and trans. With an extensive program that combines culture, gastronomy, reflection, sports and leisure, Palma is consolidated as a city with LGTBI color throughout the year.
And is that Mallorca is an island to always return for its climate, its light, its cuisine, its culture, its history and its landscape. Its capital, Ciutat de Palma, is a fascinating, open and diverse city that looks and feels the sea. It combines modernity with its historical appeal as a result of the legacy of the different cultures that have passed through it. Mediterrania and Cosmopolitan hosts many events related to sexual and gender freedom throughout the year. One of the busiest and that increases its popularity with each edition is the ELLA Festival (ELLA International Lesbian Festival), which this year will take place between the August 30 and September 6.
Focused on the female audience, ELLA is a festival that aims to portray a profile of “modern” and “current” women, free and confident, always in a social key and giving visibility and support to this group recognizing their idiosyncrasy and their own needs. An event that claims awareness and LBT culture where music, art, sports (yoga, kayaking, paddle surfing, volleyball, fitness ...) and many other activities, always in community, are protagonists.
Attendees can enjoy ELLA Beach, two days to enjoy the sun, the sea and sport on the beach of Can Pere Antoni.
When it comes to music, this year's edition will feature artists like Sheela Gathright (New York singer), Claudia Pannone (Buenos Aires vocalist of the old band Gotan Project) or the renowned DJ, musician and actress, Daniela Sea (American trans, non-binary activist, and famous for her interpretation in the international series The L-Word).
The days stand out SHE Talks, a series of conferences of lesbian, bisexual and trans women, which will be attended by important international activists such as Monica Benicio, Brazilian activist, architect and widow of the murdered human rights activist and advisor of Rio de Janeiro, Marielle Franco; Daniela Sea, American non-binary trans activist; Jayne Ozanne, founder of the Ozanne Foundation, British evangelical and activist for LGBT inclusion in the Church; Marta Marquez, President of Galehi, Spanish Association of LGTBI Families; Faika El-Nagashi, policy and member of Green party from Austria; Y Nicole FaradayRenowned British actress known for her role in the television series Bad Girls).
Gala dinners, boat parties, private parties, sailing tours and excursions in spectacular places around the island will put the finishing touch to this festival of the LBT community.
