Suited, a documentary about the transsexual clients of the Bindle & Keep tailor and their custom suits

GAYLES.TV | The impact of fashion is undeniable. It can affect the way we behave and our comfort in a social situation. However, style options and accessibility to clothing especially affect the transgender community and the non-compliant community, as exemplified by the documentary Suited produced by Lena Dunham and that can be seen for the first time in Spain within the Festival's program Moritz Feed Dog.

Suited

Often, transsexual people strive to find clothes that fit their bodies correctly thanks to the binary nature of most retailers. That's why brands like New York  Bindle and Keep, custom tailoring for the LGBTQIA + community, are so incredibly important. The documentary Suited perfectly captures the intense and positive emotion associated with wearing a properly fitting suit. Comment  Meg Zulch, a gender nonconforming fashion critic, “I have struggled for years to find men's clothing that fits my female body correctly. Like most transsexuals, I usually shop in the menswear sections of retail stores, often the garments are too large or do not fit my body properly. So when I first saw Suited I was deeply moved. "

The director of Suited, Jason Benjamin, explains that his top priority in the recording process was to capture the magical moment of the moment the garment fits into the mirror, a moment in which many people are seeing their true self for the first time. And those moments, captured over and over with multiple clients from Bindle and Keep, were the essence of the movie Suited.

Watching each of the clients look in the mirror in their tailored suits, one can see years of pain, frustration, dysphoria, insecurity, resurgence and finally tears of joy.
