GAYLES.TV.- As you know the Teddy Award  is a prize that is delivered from 1987 intended for gay, lesbian or transgender films. The Chilean cinema repeats the award after the overwhelming triumph of the last edition in which it won the three main categories: Teddy Award for Best Feature Film a Sebastián Silva for the movie "Nasty Baby", while the Chilean-Uruguayan co-production "El hombre nuevo" by Aldo Garay and "San Cristóbal" by Omar Zúñiga they picked up the TYou will never be aloneeddy for Best Short Film and Documentary, respectively.

This year the "Special Prize of the Jury" in the 30ª edition of Teddy Award has fallen in the film "You will never be alone" by Alex Anwandter, singer and audiovisual creator who on Tuesday premiered his debut feature. The tape is inspired by real facts, in particular in the death of the young homosexual Daniel Zamudio at the hands of a group of neo-Nazis, in Santiago de Chile in the year 2012. The film tells the poignant story of the victim's father, played by Sergio Hernandez that tries to face the medical expenses of his son, role that embodies Andrew Bargsted, after suffering a homophobic attack.

The Teddy, who are celebrating their 30 years of LGTBI recognition, are presented one day in advance to the Gold Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and are the world's most renowned film awards focusing on sexual diversity. The first Teddy received it on 1987 "The Law of Desire" de Pedro Almodóvar.

Another LGTBI production, in this case of lesbian theme has been recognized with the Great Prize of the JuradRare Teddy Awardor for Best Film, endowed with 7.500 euros in the Generation Kplus category. This category focuses on the creation of new audiences, especially in the age group of children and adolescents over 12 years old. The award has been awarded to María José "Pepa" San Martín by the tape "Weird". Starring Julia Lübbert y Mariana Loyola, talks about the life of two girls who live with their lesbian mother with the conditions and peculiarities that this implies. San Martin, after receiving the award declared: "There are places in the world where homosexuality is still considered a criminal offense and I hope this award serves to hear increasingly loud voices against this."
