Kate Perry surprises an Orlando survivor in the Ellen DeGeneres show
GAYLES.TV.- In the killing of Orlando many lives were lost, but many others were truncated, broken by the nearness of the horror and the perplexity of having seen so much life collapse around you, without understanding, why you have saved yours.
This is the case of Tony Marrero, a club survivor Press from Orlando to whom Ellen DeGeneres interviewed in your program "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". In the course of the interview Tony spoke of "Rise", a song by Kate Perry that had helped him from the first hours in the hospital to overcome what had been experienced. "The lyrics of that song are so powerful! I hear it all the time, my boyfriend is crazy to hear it, "joked Tony as the cameras searched for their partner in the audience. Suddenly Ellen asked her a surprising question: "Do you know Perry? Would you like to meet her? " And the boy could no longer answer because the singer appeared on the set merging in a hug with him.
But the thing was not there, Kate told the boy that he knew she was someone very creative like her and that her dream was to study cinema, so "I will take charge during the first year of the payment of your race". Tony could not contain the emotion. What better support for someone coming out of a trauma like Orlando's than helping him give him the incentive to start a new life studying what he wants?
