NEWS.- The recent winner of the Oscar for best actress for her work in “Siempre Alice”, Julianne Moore, has recorded a video to support the campaign "#IDO to Equality" launched by the most important LGTBI association in the US, Lambda Legal. The objective of this campaign is to raise funds that cover specific needs of the group and remember that the road to full equality does not end with the approval of marriage for same-sex couples.
Thus, Julianne reviews in the video some of the reasons why she considers that a fight for the civil rights of the LGTBI collective should be sustained after the planned approval, by the US Supreme Court of Justice in June incoming, of equal marriage. It cites as basic issues the eradication and prevention of school bullying due to gender and sexual orientation issues, specific medical assistance for gays, lesbians and transsexuals, and finally the end of all violence against transgender people through the approval of measures legal that make it possible.
