The initiative began in a WhatsApp group in Galicia

GAYLES.TV.- En Galicia A group of primary and secondary professionals has created a support network LGBT + which will give visibility to the collective in the educational field. The initiative was engendered in a WhatsApp group and in record time it has managed to bring together more than 50 schools. They have released a manifesto in which they claim to eliminate the presumption of heterosexuality and discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation, end sexist and homophobic stereotypes in the classroom or respect for diversity.

«We are islands, without connection or synergy, without the help of Xunta because the law provides for the development of initiatives like this, but there is no desire to create teams ... It happens in everything, also in the field of language standardization, but at least they have recognized their work on time. We do not. There may not be such a thing in the rest of the state, but we knew that in Galicia there are professionals, not only teachers, but also counselors or psychologists or pedagogues." Explain Denis Vicente, the IES As Barxas de Moañuno, from the creators of the manifesto.
