Francisco Polo becomes the first "ambassador" of "It Gets Better Spain"

The mission of It Gets Better Spain is to fight against bullying, promote diversity in the classroom and society, as well as support LGBTI adolescents and youth. It aspires to become an effective tool to generate a positive change in the lives of these young people, contributing to the normalization and the end of discrimination, helping to build a more open and inclusive society.
This year he has launched the program Partnerships for Diversity (AxD), which seeks to create safe spaces in secondary schools managed by the students themselves, to fight against bullying and highlight the positive values of respect, equality, freedom and diversity.
It Gets Better Spain inaugurates world pride month World Pride Madrid 2017 launching the initiative "Ambassadors", with the aim of attracting LGBTQ + personalities and allies from the Spanish scene who help to give visibility to the It Gets Better project and to the diverse reality of our country, as well as helping to obtain more video testimonies and stories of other personalities who want to give their support and send a message of hope to LGBTQ + youth and adolescents.
Francisco Polo supports It Gets Better since he arrived in Spain and recorded the video that has had the most impact in our country until today, surpassing the 225.000 reproductions. It is also part of Madrid Titans Rugby Club, who this year collaborates with It Gets Better España donating the profits of the sale of its annual calendar.
Álvaro Ros, president of It Gets Better Spain tells us that "Francisco Polo inaugurates this new initiative in its own right. His support for the It Gets Better project has been fundamental, and this initiative arises in part thanks to him. We want any LGBTQ + girl or boy, in any corner of Spain, to know that everything improves and that he can count on us to help him forget his fears, to come out of the closet and to overcome bullying ".
When it is one year after the publication of the video that Francisco Polo recorded for the "It Gets Better" campaign, the former director of CHANGE.ORG acknowledges that “It is an honor to become the first ambassador for It Gets Better Spain. The video that we released last year confirmed for me the need for initiatives like It Gets Better to support those who have suffered harassment for the mere fact of being LGTBQ +. The literally hundreds of messages I received after the video confirmed to me that we need more people to tell their stories about how things are improving. It Gets Better Spain entrusts me with the mission of inspiring others to do so and I accept it with the strongest of my commitments.
