Companies that hire transsexual people will score better to get municipal contracts
GAYLES.TV.- With the aim of preventing and combating collective discrimination LGTBI, And in special of the trans people, City of Seville has driven a Municipal Plan for people LGTBI that contemplates 66 measures cross-cutting measures to promote their integration and that will be developed 2022.
Among the proposals, a clause of non-discrimination based on sexual orientation and / or gender identity stands out in the criteria and conditions for the execution of contracts with the city council. In this way, for example, companies that hire transsexual people will score better, a group with many obstacles when it comes to finding a job.
The plan is structured in 10 axes y 66 measures of action, which seek to raise public awareness, the elimination of any hint of sexual discrimination in public procurement, the detection and reporting of harassment for reasons of sexual orientation in educational centers, the integration of people LGTBI in sports facilities and in collaboration with the Local Police.
The delegate of Equality, Myriam Díaz, has detailed that the measures will be implemented in all areas of the government to «promote respect for sexual and gender diversity, eradicate homophobia, lesbophobia, transphobia, biphobia and intersexphobia and make visible and install in the public and private debate of LGTBI reality»
In the new sports centers, changing rooms for individual use will be provided that can be used by anyone who requests a private space to change. And access to condoms will be improved in the spaces frequented by people LGTBI in coordination with the Municipal Health Council to promote healthy living habits and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
It will also be strengthened Sevilla as LGTBI tourist destination and will be included in the street names that recognize the history and the struggle of the people LGTBI for sexual and gender freedom.
