The pattern does not respond exactly to the gay flag, since it has 8 color stripes instead of 6 and neither the colors that shine, nor the order they keep between them correspond to the rainbow flag.
In any case, those responsible for IKEA have come to the pass of the controversy generated by the publication stating that the photo is false and they have never had a product in their catalog with that name, in fact the cushion that appears in the photograph has already been discontinued and throughout the time it was on sale his name was "SKARUM".
The alleged joke has been a wink of the Internet to the Swedish giant just a week after the firm was forced to stop distributing the magazine "IKEA Family" in Russia. According to the company, at the moment IKEA has not received any warning from the Russian authorities, but they are aware that its content, where "various aspects of the household are shown regardless of age, gender and sexual orientation", could be considered in some cases as "Homosexual propaganda" and contravene the rigid homophobic laws implanted by Putin.
Already in the 2013 IKEA was forced to replace in the Russian edition of the magazine IKEA LIVE an article titled "Clara & Kirsty" which dealt with a couple of English lesbians. That decision generated criticism of the company for yielding to the pressures imposed by Russia. The response in its day through Ylva Magnusson, company spokesman at the headquarters in Sweden was: "We have two guiding principles in the communication that we distribute from Ikea.
