Projecte dels Noms will deliver the tapestry to the Museu d'Historia de Catalunya

GAYLES.TV.- The next December 1, coinciding with the World AIDS Day, Projecte dels Noms will donate the tapestry AIDS Memorial al Museu d'Història de Catalunya. With the delivery we want to give a prominent place in history to the immense human loss that AIDS caused, especially during the darkest years of the epidemic.

TAPIZ PROJECTE DELS NOMS MEMORIAL AIDS MNAC GAYLES.TVIn 1993, Projecte dels Noms promoted the initiative born in United States in 1987 to create a collective tapestry with the aim of making visible the human loss that hides behind the statistics. More of 70.000 individual upholstery, created in 40 countries by relatives and friends of people who died as a result of the Side, invite us to reflect on the impact of the epidemic, the stigma and discrimination that many of the people who live with HIV. Since then, this composition made with individual tapestries that contain the names of people who died as a result of AIDS, made by family and friends, has been a symbol of extraordinary memory and commitment.

The event will be chaired by the Minister of Culture, Santi Vila, and the December 1 will take place at 19: 00h in the Museu d'Història de Catalunya (Plaza Pau Vila 3, Barcelona). The founders of Projecte dels Noms will also intervene Michael Meulbroek y Ferran Pujol and will have the participation of artists Enric Majó y Mone Teruel.
