Jair Bolsonaro Brazil trembles with Bolsonaro

The extreme right-wing candidate Jair Bolsonaro wins with an 46% of the votes but will have to face Hadad in a second round.

GAYLES.TV.- Yesterday in Brazil went to the polls to vote in the most polarized presidential elections of recent times. And, unfortunately, the corruption and compromises of previous leftist governments have given wings to an extreme right-wing candidate that poses a clear danger to certain sectors and minorities in the country.

Jair Bolsonaro he has openly declared himself homophobic, racist, macho and vindicates explicit violence with aspirations such as freeing the sale and use of weapons for civilians. But all those definitions do not cease to be in a way euphemisms if you do not go into the detail of the statements and positions maintained by Jair Bolsonaro. That is why we wanted to bring here some pearls of the candidate.

The ultraconservative leader, who has the support of fundamentalist evangelical groups, defends torture, especially military torture and the death penalty, in fact is recognized without shame as a nostalgic military dictatorship that subjected the country between 1964 and 1985.

As for the issues related to the LGTBI collective, if this authoritarian exmilitary is imposed in the second round, we better prepare for the worst auguries. Bolsonaro affirmed in an interview to Playboy in the 2011 that he preferred that his son was dead to homosexual. In her campaign she manifests against equal marriage, homoparental adoption and especially the right to gender identity of transgender people.

But beyond his legislative intentions are his always extreme and misplaced statements. On one occasion he exclaimed "I am not going to discriminate or fight, but if I see two men kissing in the street, I am going to hit them." In an interview conducted by the presenter Stephen Fry argued, without any arguments, that "homosexuality is a behavior, it is not genetic" and consequently advocates that parents beat their children if they "are effeminate" because it is something that "can be corrected." Asked by the journalist about the murders of homosexuals in Brazil, he replied that they occur due to the environment of "drugs and prostitution" and that if Brazil ranks first in Latin America in terms of hate crimes, it is because "We Brazilians do not like homosexuals". Bolsonaro's homophobia takes him to the extreme of declaring that, even if his health is in danger, would reject a blood transfusion from a homosexual for fear of "getting contaminated" (your wishes are orders, never better said).

Other minorities do not fare better than their omnivorous rage: they have called Afro-Brazilians "fat and lazy" whom they compare with animals that do not even serve to procreate; He has promised to put an end to the indigenous reservations and, as a sign of his misogynism, it suffices with the phrase she snapped at a deputy in the 2014 "they did not deserve to rape her because she's too ugly".

Hopefully the vote of indigenous people, Afro-Brazilians, women, gays, lesbians, transsexuals in short, simply good and just people, will be able to stop the rise to power of such an individual.
