GAYLES.TV.- «The look of the other: scenarios for the difference»Is the title of the exhibition that will open on June 14 at the Museo del Prado and that will be open until the September 9. With this exhibition the art gallery joins the celebration of the Pride. The love between people of the same sex through the history of art is the itinerary proposed by the museum.
From Antinous but also Caravaggio, , Prado makes visible the consideration and the fortune in the art and in the society of its time of artists, models and collectors whose memory has been marked forever by its sexual identity.
As a complement to this exhibition, conferences and courses will be held. On Sunday, 18 day, José Antonio González, from the University of Salamanca, will talk about «Masculine and classics. Homoerotics in the Prado Museum collection ». And on Sunday, June 25, José Luis Díez, of National Heritage, will speak about «From conscious attraction to unspeakable desire: The fascination with the masculine in nineteenth-century academic painters«.
