Seven people have been arrested accused of a hate crime in Madrid
GAYLES.TV.- The events occurred at dawn of last day 13 August in the Madrid neighborhood of Chueca. A couple of two men of 30 and 55 years of Mexican origin were talking when they were rebuked by a group of seven people consisting of five men and two women. The couple was insulted and subsequently beaten.
The Police went to the scene of the events alerted by a call to the 091. The victims were able to describe the assailants who were subsequently arrested. With the description provided by the couple, the Police managed to arrest the aggressors. One of them, a Bulgarian of 18 years, was especially violent and kicked one of the officers in the chest and another hit him in the face, also breaking a glass of the police vehicle and damaging one of the doors, according to eldiario.es. The aggressors are charged by a hate crime (homophobia), attack on the authority after also hitting an agent, injuries and damage to the police car.
The hate crimes against the homosexual collective in Madrid are constant, sometimes they are reported and in other cases the victims do not dare to do so. But what is embarrassing after doing so, sentences like the one we learned about this week are handed down; a judge condemned an attack shouting "fucking fagots" with only $250. The Court of Instruction No. 39 considered the aggression proven but not that the attack was a hate crime. Being homophobic is still very cheap in Spain.

This is terrible, Arcópoli has accounted for 149 homophobic or trófobas aggressions so far this year. Good article. One detail, Chueca is not a neighborhood, it's a square.
