La Fundació Lluita Against AIDS, which is a non-profit organization, has been carrying out a very important task for years, especially in the field of research to eradicate the disease. Currently they focus on two lines: ethe development of a therapeutic vaccine and the design of a treatment with antibodies that would block the access of HIV to healthy cells.
The resources to carry out their projects have a new and entertaining source of income. It is the first solidary game for mobile phones and tablets that under the name of "Epidemic The Game", intends to raise funds to finance research led by the Dr. Bonaventura Clotet.
It is an Arcade game in which, through Pitu (Tupi for Apple Store), the protagonist, we fight against an avalanche of virus firing them with pills and protecting us with condoms. There is everything, good, bad, prizes and the ability to customize the game with store items. The design has been done by the programmer Jordi Herms and there has also been the collaboration of Joan Dausà who has composed the soundtrack.
“Epidemic The Game” has been sponsored by Jesús Vázquez that together with the former soccer player Carles Puyol, Actor Carles Sans from the group «El tricicle» and the producer and founder of GestmusicEndemol Toni Cruz, will present the launch party of the video game this very afternoon in Barcelona. The attendance of the His Excellency Mr. Xavier Triaand a multitude of celebrities and personalities like Ferran Adrià, Manel Fuentes, Mag Lari, Vanesa Lorenzo, Oriol Nolis or Ricardo Bofill among other guests.
