A group of young Russian students causes a scandal with a lipdub in underpants and unleashes a viral reaction in Russia
GAYLES.TV.- A fortnight of cadet students from the first year of a civil aviation institute in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk, they recorded a lipdub video in underwear and suggestive enough to run like wildfire on the internet.
In the video and to the rhythm of the electronic music of "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi, the camera follows an ass that is contorted by a corridor. The young owner of that ass passes the relay to another ephebe aspiring pilot after, yes, to rub their parts against a door. And so they take turns in front of the camera with movements and gestures increasingly provocative and suggestive.
YouTube, Vkontakte (the most popular social network in Russia) and other routes began to take off, millions of users shared some images that jumped to the news of the television channels and their digital versions. Result: a scandal and homophobes threatening and tearing the garments. On state television, a sexologist claimed that the video contained signs of homosexuality. And the truth is that you do not have to be an official sexologist for that either because they are obvious.
The problem is that the power has not done damn grace. The Federal Air Transport Agency He issued a statement in which he reports that this insult to the aviators' uniform could not go unpunished. At the moment, a commission has been created to investigate the workers of the center and students, who certainly recommend psychological exams.
They painted coarse and the expulsion of all the cadets but what they could not foresee from the power was the huge viral phenomenon that would unleash. People of all ages, sex and condition began to record and broadcast videos in solidarity with Ulianovsk students: emergency service workers, a group of girl athletes, mothers and even grandmothers of St. Petersburg!
The lipdub of the Ulyanovsk boys has a clear precedent in the video that some young people of the British army recorded in the 2013 that, of course, did not have by far the same repercussion.
The phenomenon has crossed borders and replicas are being recorded in other countries: workers of Mc Donalds, mascots of basketball teams or the successful version of Ukrainian swimmers who dare to parody underwater.
But make no mistake, it is not a simple anecdote and surely many people have signed up for fun, but the phenomenon tells us about Russia today, about real Russia. From a country in which a large part of the population, especially the youngest, do not agree with the official position, with the implacable conservatism and rancid and cruel homophobia that they intend to impose from the spheres of power.
