The new 50 pound note with the face of Alan Turing will go into circulation in June

Hard to fake
The 50 pound note from Alan Turing presents a photo of the mathematician taken in 1951 by Elliott and Fry, which is part of the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. It will thus join other banknotes also made with the same material, of longer duration, such as the 5 pound (5,7 euros) that bears the image of the former British Prime Minister. The new note, like the 20-pound note, incorporates two windows and two colors, making it very difficult for it to be forged, according to the bank. It also contains a hologram that switches between the words "Fifty" and "Pounds" when the bill rocks from side to side. It will also have a tactile quality intended to help people with impaired vision to identify its name.
