Gay viral video in Taiwan.
GAYLES.TV.- There are many ways to get out of the closet and not all are easy to deal with, especially when it comes to communicating it to your parents.
McCafé, the establishments of McDonalds specialized in offering varieties of cafeteria and pastry in premises with a cozy atmosphere, they have launched a gay friendly advertising spot that is running like wildfire on social networks, come on, what we call a viral video.
In the announcement we see a father and his son, a young man writing on his coffee mug a message for the father to read: "I like boys". The father simply sighed and walked away from the table without saying a word, leaving the boy stunned and distressed. He soon returned with his own drink and taking the pen added a few words to the text that his son had written, the resulting phrase is: "I accept that you like the boys". The excited boy can barely contain the tears. In 90 seconds we are told a simple and emotional story that also causes a lump in the throat.
Since its publication, the spot has been shared thousands of times and has been seen by millions of people. But not everyone has reacted so positively. Chang Shou-yi, Secretary-General of the Taiwan Alliance, a body that brings together religious groups for the protection of the family, has urged consumers and parents in particular to boycott McDonalds. In a statement to the press, he accuses the fast food chain of openly promoting homosexuality and adds that, “The Alliance opposes all forms of advertising that rude our children about sexual behavior. We condemn and call for a boycott of all companies that are polluting the next generation ”.
Taiwan is one of the most gay-friendly areas in Asia with seven cities accepting home registrations for gay couples, but same-sex marriage is not legal. In 2013, a marriage equality bill passed the first test in Parliament, but has since been stalled under pressure from a small but powerful and organized Catholic minority.
