Robby Gallaty: Barbarism and homophobic crime

EDITORIAL.- The line that separates the denunciation of sensationalism, the yellowing of the obligation to inform, is very fine and sometimes because it does not go through it carelessly, because it does not lead to tragedy, issues are overlooked that is absolutely necessary to deal with.

This is the case that concerns us this week in which, in parallel, there have been two events that invite reflection. On the one hand, the apology he has made Robby Gallaty, senior pastor of the Greater Brainerd Baptist Church in Tennessee on the death of homosexuals. Gallaty relies on the Old Testament to justify his arguments. He has literally said that “God would want to see homosexual people dead, because if a man sleeps with another man, just as if a woman sleeps with another woman, both will have committed an abomination and must die ”. On the other hand, the pastor sees in homosexual unions "the most lethal attack that exists against marriage and the family" and adds that if the LGTB groups achieve their objectives "they will ruin the family and they will have won." Speechless.

On the other hand we have learned that in California the trial is being held for the murder in May of the 2013 of a child of 8 years at the hands of his parents. The reason, as the brothers of the child have stated, is that he acted "like a homosexual". Apparently that made him worthy of a long ordeal before his death. Always according to his brothers, he received daily beatings, was forced to eat cat feces, rotten vegetables and vomiting, slept locked in a closet and with the aim of humiliating him, forced him to go dressed as a girl to school. Until one day, after a beating, the parents called the emergency room saying that the child had fallen receiving a heavy blow to the head. When he was examined by the health services, he had three broken ribs, a skull fracture, and objects stuck in his groin and lung. And I was not breathing anymore.

Perhaps Robby Gallaty thinks that God must be very pleased with the lesson received by this creature. Perhaps we cannot avoid the sordid family violence that takes refuge in silence to commit brutalities such as the one described. But, without any doubt, individuals like Pastor Robby Gallaty should be arrested and convicted of incitement to hatred, violence, murder and genocide. And if not, when in doubt, ask God.

6 opinions about "Robby Gallaty: Barbarism and homophobic crime"

  1. I am totally unhappy, sad, heartbroken. Like a "gentleman" who calls himself a pastor, can say these atrocities and some "supposed parents", subject a child to these atrocities. What else does it give me, if my son is gay, lesbian, transsexual, above all he is my son and I will love him until the day I die. Fuck, these injustices make me cry.

    1. To us too, although unfortunately such stories are more common than we think. Fortunately, a new generation arrives, which, if it has, understands what love means. And love is not conditioned by homophobia.

  2. If homosexuality is a sin that God judges and not man as a species; we all have the right to be happy and I think we do not hurt anyone x like our same sex! Those people who take these injustices against homosexuals if they are worthy of being loved x the rest d humanity, q shame is knowing that we are in a time where parents prefer to see their children with a gun and using drugs before q is gay

    1. Welcome to Gayles.tv Oswaldo,
Luckily we are getting a change in mentality. Change that can be seen in the new generations. We look forward to the day when diversity is celebrated, not punished.

      Greetings,

  3. I think that those who should torture and kill and those people with that stupid way of thinking. I thank God that my parents accepted me in the best way. Damn shepherd I wish I rot in hell

  4. You sons of bitches how is it possible that a supposed disciple of God sent to take the word thinks that homosexuals should die. how far the arrogance machismo and cruelty of a human being can go. perhaps someone has the authority to decide who is acting to live in this world. I wonder if GOD would agree to this
What a shame this is the sad reality of living in a world mowed down by a religion
