GAYLES.TV.- Fourth year students of the secondary school Gili i Gaya de LleidaThey denounced the philosophy professor to the school management for having made clearly homophobic comments in class during a debate about love.
According to the students, the teacher mentioned love exclusively in terms of the relationship between a man and a woman. When asked by a boy about same-sex relationships, his response was, "That's friendship." The students revolted revindicating love as something of homosexual relationships, which led to a debate in which the professor came to say that, "Being homosexual is unnatural, it's like being lame or one-eyed, It's inexplicable. It should not exist, they are imposing on you the belief that homosexuals must be respected" Before such a position the students stood up and left the classroom.

To which the professor, laughing at the question of the boy, answered: "That is not my fault or anyone's fault, it is a psychological problem ". Other students tried to talk with him but the teacher began to lose the papers and to threaten the students with lowering the notes of the subject.
The students, after making the complaint and due to the seriousness of the events, called a protest rally outside the center at mid-morning.
El Union of High School Students of Lleida has expressed his absolute rejection to the position of the professor while the group LGTBI Colors of Ponent has taken the case to Observatory against Homophobia.
At the request of the director of Serveis Territorials d'Ensenyament a Lleida Miquel Àngel Cullerés that the teacher apologizes in a face to face with the students, he has acknowledged that he was wrong but on Wednesday he did not appear in the center so he has not been able to present his apologies.
