A pair of gay penguins steal an egg at a zoo in the Netherlands
GAYLES.TV.- Last week a couple of male African penguins from the zoo of DierenPark en Amersfoort (NL) (Netherlands) they took an egg from a heterosexual couple and incubated it. Homosexual behaviors are widespread in the animal world, but not so much parenting. After the theft, the zoo has decided to keep the egg since the couple who was robbed had put another.
The two African penguins "acquired" the egg at a time when no one was watching it. According Marc Belt, who is in charge of the zoo, this penguin couple is taking future parenthood very carefully: «the couple is taking good care of the egg and taking turns keeping it warm«.
A similar case occurred in the zoo of Odense, riding a Denmark: Another homosexual couple of penguins took advantage of an oversight to stay a chick of a couple with whom they lived. According Patrici Bultó, in charge of Aquarium, the reason for the mating was the lack of females: «If you have ten males, you must have ten females. At one point they were paired and we got 2 males.
