The musical "No es pot saber" by the company No es pot dir will be performed from September 30 to October 18 at the Teatre Eòlia
" No es pot saber " returns to the stage for its third season. The young company No es pot dir presents this queer musical at the Teatre Eòlia in Barcelona from September 30 to October 18, 2026. The production is directed by Martí Torras Mayneris, with dramaturgy by Mario Rebugent and musical direction and composition by Núria Llausí.
The story unfolds between Barcelona in the late seventies and early eighties and the city today. Two young radio reporters launch a show and land the professional opportunity they've been waiting for. Their podcast, titled " No es pot saber " (It Can't Be Known) and based on their own family history, becomes a hit, but it also ends up pitting them against each other.
From there, the show reconstructs the story of the Rodríguez and Savalls family and their three daughters, at a time marked by the end of the Transition, the disenchantment with revolutionary ideals and the emergence of AIDS , which has a strong impact on the LGTBIQ+ population and increases family tensions.
A historical musical
The musical focuses on a generation of gays and lesbians who began to organize and fight against discrimination and homophobiain a time when homosexuals still suffered persecution. The work also vindicates the memory of those who lived through the epidemic of SIDA boat and they participated in the social struggles of those years.
The proposal combines comedy and drama to connect two generations and recover different spaces and characters from Barcelona of that time: drag queens, lesbian women, bars, artists and activists who were part of a city traversed by counterculture and social demands.
In addition, the production features live music by Unai Eizaguirre. This new season also brings two new additions. Núria Llausí has received a nomination for the TeatreMusical.cat Awards in the Best Score category , and on October 9th at 20 pm, audiences can enjoy a special Sing Along performance.
