Netflix has regained the rights to release the animated film «Nimona» on your platform. Less than a year after its release date, the film was canceled due to Disney after the closing of Blue sky studios. The acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney in 2019 it meant the cancellation of many projects. This was the case of «Nimonadue to its content LGBTQ Disney made the decision to cancel it.
«Nimona» has found a new home thanks to Netflix, who has acquired the rights to launch the film on the streaming platform. The film is based on the graphic novel by N. D. Stevenson, responsible for the series of Netflix «She-Ra and the princesses of power» who has two Einser awards.
On March 31, 2021, the International Day of Trans Visibility, Stevenson made a tweet in which he identified as trans masculine non-binary. He also used the same social network to confirm the revival of the project: «Nimona it's always been a brave little story that just wouldn't stop.
