EDITORIAL.- Six people who participated in the traditional Gay Pride March in Jerusalem suffered a knife attack yesterday at the hands of an ultra-Orthodox Jew, who had already committed a similar assault in 2005 year and had just been released from prison for that crime. Two of the wounded would be in critical condition as reported by the Jewish Red Cross equivalent.
The attack occurred near Kerem Ayesod Street, in the center of the city, where around 5.000 people paraded in the Gay Pride March. The organizers of the demonstration had agreed with the police a trip away from the neighborhoods with more religious significance of the city to avoid unnecessary clashes.
