The journalist who revolutionized the cultural scene from the program "The golden age", has passed away to the 68 years according to confirmed sources of the family

GAYLES.TV.-  Paloma Chamorro has been someone who has changed our lives, many, even those who did not know who he was. With her indomitable hair, her daring and groundbreaking style and her lack of prejudice when it comes to giving screen space to what was being lived on the street, Paloma was undoubtedly one of the faces that best represent the "Movida madrileña".

From your program "The Golden Age" opened a window to what would eventually become the most representative cultural movement of the Spanish democratic transition. Two years in antenna between 1983 and 1985 that supposed a jolt to the ideological cobwebs of a whole generation.

For "La edad de oro" artists like Alaska, Loquillo, Futura Radio, Kaka de Luxe or Total Sinister. You could see recordings unthinkable even today on TVE as the one of Almodóvar and McNamara singing the "Suck it to me". But Paloma never limited herself to the national scene or to music, because in her program we could see international artists of the stature of Lou Reed or The Smith, shootings of video clips such as Poison in the skin of Radio Futura or performances by La Fura dels Baus.

Of course we lived moments that generated great controversy in "The golden age", to name a few remember the cries of Almodóvar saying that the "angel dust" was his favorite drug or the drop of pants (literal) of the singer The Lord of the New Church. Obviously the most retrogrados sectors of a society that as soon as it began to leave the pro-Franco dictatorship began to press so that the program jump of antenna and they obtained it. In 1985 Chamorro was prosecuted with the charge of offenses to religion by the broadcast of a video in which a crucifix could be seen topped with the head of a pig. Finally the Supreme Court would end up absolving it in 1993, but that marked the beginning of the end of a stellar moment of the television culture.

After the closing of the program returned to TVE with programs dedicated to the plastic arts as "Invented reality" or "Perpignan station", but slowly it was disappearing from public life.

From Gayles.tv we want to pay homage to a woman who contributed to our being more cult @ s, more iconoclast @ s, to let us know what the cultural vanguard meant and probably to become better people. We have not found a better way to do so than remembering some moments of which was one of the best cultural programs that have been issued in this country.

Thank you very much Paloma, I'm sure you will not miss good company wherever you are.
