NEWS.- Today it opens "Sense8", the new series of Netflix , although no date of issue in Spain still as usual lately. Despite this, we wanted to dedicate this space to him because we are absolutely convinced that it is going to be a boom.
In the first place, it is a product that is guaranteed by the seal of the brothers Wachowski, the creators of the parallel worlds of "Matrix" and in second place because it counts in its cast with a leading role of Miguel Angel Silvestre playing a gay who has not come out of the closet.
The plot tells the story of eight characters, "Sensible", of different nationalities, cultures, sexual orientation and origin that, after a tragic death, establish a mental and emotional connection of which they are not fully aware. As they try to discover what is happening to them, a shadow organization tries to hunt them down to destroy them.
Although at first all of them are unaware of the fact of being connected to others, they soon begin to share sensory experiences that are unusual for them. Someone can feel on the palate the taste of what is eating another "sensate", or even hear the music played by another member of the group on the other side of the world.
In the words of one of his writers, Straczynski, «Sense8 it is an analysis of politics, sexuality and gender identity in today's society ". Precisely in this line, it presents two characters integrated into the group of "sensible", Nomi, a transgender character which is played by a transgender actor and Lito, a famous homosexual actor to which Miguel Ángel Silvestre gives life. Lito maintains a hidden relationship with Hernando, played by Alfonso Herrera. The couple, in an attempt to keep up appearances, convince Daniela to agree to pose as Lito's new flirt. The problem is that Daniela has a very jealous boyfriend who will complicate things.
The series consisting of 12 chapters for this first season is scheduled to last between 5 and 6 years. In it each character has its own history and the time necessary to develop it. Fortunately Netflix is still committed to creative freedom and proposals that break molds, both narrative and formal.
