The activists have managed to stop the presentation of the book "No one is born in a wrong body", by Jose Errasti and Marino Pérez Álvarez
The activists of Raised LGTBI and Sororitrans, defenders of the collective, have received police charges by the Mossos d'Esquadra in an act of protest to stop the presentation of a transphobic book entitled «Nobody is born in the wrong body» of the writers Jose Errasti and Marino Perez Alvarez in the House of the book located on Rambla Catalunya in Barcelona, as reported El Periodico.
In a statement they denounced that the establishment had allowed the act, when other institutions such as the UIB they hadn't. «This book fires hatred against trans people and violates the rights of this group and precisely for this reason institutions such as the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) they had canceled the presentation«, they affirm from the organization.

After several police charges by the Mossos d'Esquadra and several people, among them clients of the House of the book, joined the protest, they have managed to close the establishment. «Apart from promoting transphobic book presentations, bookstores like this one destroy small businesses. They have also denounced the identification of two people and at least 4 injured after the police charges of the Mossos. Clients of the bookstore have joined the protest and even a client has filed a claim for the organization of an act against trans rights.
Eve of the International Day Against LGTBIphobia
On the eve of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, activist groups have denounced with more force the presentation of a book that violates the rights of the trans collective. Likewise, they have demanded from the Regional Minister of Equality and Feminism, Tania Verge, the full deployment of Law 11/2014 of October 10, which guarantees the rights of the collective and to eliminate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. They have also demanded a complete development of the regulations and a sufficient budget allocation.
