The last 29 of April the ambassador of the United States in Spain D. James Costos summoned in his private residence to representatives of NGOs, LGBT institutions and gay sector entrepreneurs. That the meeting took place in his personal residence, says a lot about the type of initiative, but we must not forget that he is the representative of a great power.
This is, without a doubt, a excellent news and although the meeting revealed the inconsistencies, lack of communication between sectors and, in short, the apparent divorce of interests, we should not fall into the trap of negativity. There are many more things that unite us than those that separate us. Those of us who ultimately benefit from the work of institutions and the offer of LGBT entrepreneurs are the same, those of us who belong to this community and the lack of agreement between sectors can only harm us.
The objective continues to be to deepen the normalization of the LGBT world in society and this will only be possible within the framework of a non-politicized model in which initiatives and public and private capital establish ways of collaboration and work together.
