Play kill gais?

EDITORIAL.-  Google has just removed from its app store the game "Ass Hunter", which we could translate as "Rear Hunter", an APP that could be downloaded through the Android platform.

The application, in line with the games of zombies and other creatures from beyond the grave, consists in chasing through the jungle a kind of plague of individuals who run naked and who apparently are gay. The player controls a hunter who must hunt them down and shoot them. When pointing at them, a target appears on the victim's rear and a slogan that says something like "hunt". If the hunter fails in his attempt, the gays rush on him, attack him and after a cloud of dust we can see explicit images where he is violated.

In the description of the App on Google Play could read: «The popular game to hunt down homosexuals comes to Android. Play and do not be gay »

Mashable, a blog that regularly covers topics related to social networks, explains that Ass Hunter has existed on flash game pages for a decade, but that it had not appeared on a page of the Google Play level until this November.

The presence of "Ass Hunter" reveals the lack of real control over the applications that are accepted on Google Play. The company has a policy that developers must adhere to, which includes prohibiting content that incites violence. "Content that encourages hatred of members of a group on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, age, veteran status, or sexual identity or sexual orientation is not allowed". However, unlike Apple with the App Store, Google allows its developers to publish content without prior review.

Criticism of the game circulated on Twitter last Sunday, forcing the company to withdraw it. By then, a total of 10.000 downloads had already been registered and even 200 users had rated the game with an average of 5.

Beyond the fact that the game is removed from the big platforms, the main issue should be the very fact that the game exists and that its developers are not legally persecuted. In some media it is said that the creators could be of French origin, but we think that it is not a matter of speculation, but of using the necessary means, which obviously exist, for to locate those who divulge this type of applications and that also obtain an economic benefit of them. It is not the first time that a game of these characteristics generates controversy. Earlier this year Google withdrew from its store one in which it was encouraged to bomb Gaza. WhatWe wait to see wheelchairs being pushed by cliffs and several minorities burned with flamethrowers or do we act now?
