The next 4 February, the dependencies of Hotel Axel in Barcelona will host the celebration of first congress of surgery, medicine, aesthetics and beauty specialized in the LGBT sector, "BEAUTY CULT BARCELONA 2015".
The purpose of "BEAUTY CULT" is to make known the different options on personal care in various fields ranging from surgery, psychology, aesthetics or nutrition, to specialties usually required by members of the LGTB collective such as assisted reproduction or sex reassignment surgery.
In the period of openness and social integration that is being experienced in all areas, that of personal well-being could not be less. On the other hand it is evident that there are specific needs of some members of the LGTBI group ranging from Anal whitening techniques to different treatments of sex reassignment or assisted reproduction, which require a specialization of the sector. The users of these services need to find empathy with their concerns, a special sensitivity when dealing with their treatments and knowledge about their specific needs as patients / clients.
The congress will have the presence of medical specialists of the stature of Dr. Sanza from the Sanza Clinic, specialized in operations of breast and enlargement and thickening of the penis, the Dr. Roca and Dr. Puig from the Dr. Roca System Clinic, focused on liposuction treatments, facial minilifting and vaginal aesthetics or the Dr. Alcolea of the Alcolea Clinic who will tell us about venal treatments.
These are just some of the participants who will present their papers during the afternoon. The congress will also have the presence of associations such as the "Associació de famílies lesbianes i gais" and some faces known as those of Lucrecia, Sonia Madoc, Rebeca, Erik Putzbach, and María Pachón, the first transsexual of the Spanish Army, who will tell us about his experience.
