As a society and as a culture, we live immersed in the so-called cult of the body. But to what body? What age, what measures, what proportions should that ideal body have? Gyms, cosmetics manufacturers, the food industry, surgeons and fashion designers are the new priests of that cult. And the body, like any other idol, requires sacrifices, demands victims.

The percentage of gais who suffer from EDD (eating disorders) is higher, in the case of boys, than heterosexuals. The fashion of low weight on the one hand and hypermusculation on the other cause real havoc. In the case of lesbians, the least demand with respect to a body model, has served until today as protection, but among the youngest, this trend is being reversed. Anorexia, vigorexia and bulimia, among other pathologies, are serious diseases and can have a fatal outcome.

Let us reclaim what is unrepeatable in each one, dive in search of the essence and do not confuse health with obsession. Because if something is human beings, it is diverse, of race, of stature, of complexion, of age, of gestures, of tendencies, of tastes, of everything!
