The prosecutor asks for penalties of up to 21 years of imprisonment for the members of the "pilla-pilla project" that was dedicated to hunting and ravaging gais
GAYLES.TV.- The conviction for the case "Project pilla-pilla" it could become historic in terms of penalizing homophobia if the prosecutor's demands are accepted. This is the prosecutor of hate crimes and discrimination in Barcelona who accuses young 6 for the case known as "pilla-pilla project. This is a band dedicated to harassing homosexual people and who acted especially in Catalonia during the 2013 year. They are accused of crimes against moral integrity and intimacy with the aggravating of abuse of superiority and discrimination based on sexual orientation.
The prosecutor in his petition relates how a young man of Ukrainian nationality created the band with 5 more members, one of them a minor, the idea was to imitate the Russian group "Occypay Pedofilya" formation that, with the pretext of identifying and neutralizing supposed pedophiles, had as "real objective to persecute, humiliate and vex gais". For the leader of the group, known as Mycola and one of the members are requested 21 years of imprisonment for the rest of the sentences of 6 and two years.
In the indictment it is explained that the group followed a regular pattern: Mykola located through channels of intimate contact with gays with "prior planning and by deception, pretending to be a minor". They shared photos, videos, and intimate details of fantasies and sexual practices, until they gained the trust of the victim who agreed to an appointment. The appointment was actually a "ambush" where between 10 and 20 people appeared whose purpose was, according to the Public Ministry, "to frighten, humiliate and retaliate against homosexual men with a notable disproportion of numerical strength." The victim was surrounded, preventing him from escaping, he was forced to answer an interrogation that was recorded and later disseminated on social networks, they had to provide their full name and show their ID. They were also forced to recognize "The falsehood that they intended to have sex with a child". In the event that the victim did not yield to the claims of the group, the images were manipulated in such a way that they seemed to recognize pedophile behavior.
Assaults, which occurred in Les Franqueses del Vallès and Granollers at the end of the 2013, they caused a "serious affectation to the intimacy and dignity of the victims, whose image was perfectly recognizable and humiliating". The images reached more than 50.000 people, especially followers of Facebook and Twitter pages of a National Socialist character and with homophobic and racist slogans. In one of the cases the video came to be seen by the mother, neighbors and the son of a football teammate of the bullied, with the consequent damage: "He suffered the public derision of contemplating how, without having committed any illegality , his image, his voice and his sexuality were publicly associated with pedophilia, "says the letter.
It also highlights that the attacks and videos of the "pilla_pilla project" caused great alarm in the LGTBI collective that "feared for its security and integrity" with "serious damage to collective dignity". For all of this, apart from the prison sentences, the prosecutor requests indemnities from 31.000 € for each of the 3 victims.
On the other hand, the connections that the main defendant had with local and international extreme right groups have been proven.
